Andy Thompson talks Farmwatch and hip clamps

Andy Thompson has viewed the latest Farmwatch video showing a cow being moved with hip clamps.

Thompson says he's not a fan of hip clamps but they're a necessary evil that he has had to use when a cow is stuck in a difficult position.

No matter how 'barbaric' they may look to outsiders, hip clamps are often the difference between life and death on farm.

Andy Thompson agrees the video is disturbing, but reckons that the use of the slogan "drop dairy" makes Farmwatch an "extremist organisation".
