Otago Peninsula Biodiversity Group trustee David Chalmers holds a dead albino possum found in a humane-kill trap at Te Rauone Beach, on the Otago Peninsula, yesterday.
This is the second albino possum caught by the group in its campaign to rid the peninsula of the pest, as part of the Predator Free 2050 programme.
More than 17,500 possums have already been killed on the peninsula.
