Rabobank's General Manager of Country Banking Hayley Moynihan had a chat to The Country's Jamie Mackay today for a review of farming in 2016.
Politics took over economics in 2016 and it was a year of surprises. No one was expecting Brexit or Trump but Moynihan says there will be more disruption to come with key elections in Europe coming up in 2017.
Locally there has been political upheaval as well with the sudden exit of John Key landing New Zealand in a "very different place" according to Moynihan.
Hayley Moynihan also comments on "change of tide" from borrowers to savers, the turnaround in the dairy industry and her favourite moment of 2016.
