Craig wants to know why the message: "The page cannot be displayed…" keeps coming up when he trying to access websites.
This message comes up most often when you've entered a web address incorrectly, so first check whether that ".com" you typed should have been a ".com.au" for example. Otherwise it's possible the site was down or too busy – click the Refresh button or try again later. It's unlikely to be your browser settings but try Internet Options/Advanced and click on Restore Defaults to make sure.

Cec has learned how to cut and paste from one e-mail to another, but wants to know if it's possible to select a page or an article from a web site and forward it to friends?
Well Cec, you're probably not using IE 5.5, which makes sending web pages a cinch (just go to
File/Send/Page by E-mail).
On earlier versions of Internet Explorer go to Tools/Mail and News/Send Page. All you have to do is enter the recipient's address, a subject and bingo! You can also select, cut and paste parts of a web page into an e-mail, but use Paste Special../ Unformatted Text if you want to stop graphics and banners cluttering things up.

Tony has run into problems with a patch to fix a Windows shutdown problem we featured in this column a couple of weeks ago. The Microsoft patch
fixed the Windows shutdown problems all right, but now traffic on Tony's six-workstation system has slowed dramatically. How do you uninstall the patch?
We'll be taking this up with Microsoft, but I'm afraid the only answer might be to reinstall the operating system.
