Telecommunications company Woosh Wireless today launched phone and internet broadband packages for less than $50 a month.
Woosh has unveiled a range of new packages, the lowest priced of which offered 200MB broadband for $24.95 a month.
Woosh described that plan as an entry level option for people upgrading from a dial-up connection.
Woosh spokeswomen Sandra Geange expected the $49.95 phone and broadband connection to prove popular. The package offers up to 3G of downloads per month, at a download speed of 500Kbps.
Woosh posted a $21.8 million loss in the June year.
Last year it abandoned plans to raise about $80 million through an initial public offer of shares.
