The type of person who visits your campaign website could be an indication of who will vote for you on election day.
Latest figures from Neilson//Netratings show Al Gore campaign websites pulling the ladies while George W. Bush sites hit it big with blokes.
A recent US election poll suggests American men and women may actually vote in a similar way.
According to Neilson//Netratings, AlGore.com and AlGore2000.com drew a majority 60% female audience while GeorgeBush.com and GeorgeWBush.com appealed to a 52% male audience.
A Washingtonpost.com poll dated November 3 asked likely voters; "If the election for president in November, 2000 were being held today, and the candidates were Pat Buchanan, George W. Bush, Al Gore and Ralph Nader, for whom would you vote?"
The poll showed 45% of people who responded chose Gore while 49% said they would have voted for Bush.
Like their website audiences, the majority of votes for Gore came from females (55%) and the majority of Bush supporters were male (57%).
