Windows XP ready for release

Microsoft has delivered copies of Windows XP to computer makers in the US in preparation for the software's release.

Windows XP comes in two versions, one for home users, the other for business professionals. Home Edition upgrades have an authorised price of $US99 ($225). Copies of the full version will sell for $US199, an increase of about $US20 on Windows ME.
