KEY POINTS:
Health experts who are forever moaning about gamers spending too much time indoors without getting sun or exercise will find that argument a lot harder to push soon.
Nintendo's drive for the year continues to be aimed at non-traditional gamers - a policy clearly working with its popular Wii - and to combine exercise with fun gameplay more than it has already.
At E3, Nintendo has unveiled a "balance board" for the Wii console to power a new fitness game.
That uses a new pressure-sensitive wireless pad. The so called Wii Fit game lets you do aerobics, yoga and certain other gym-type exercises in front of your TV.
The pad also calculates your body's mass index using a smart little program.
This fits in with Nintendo's move to create a console experience for the whole family.

Also unveiled is a gun - a "Wii Zapper" designed for first person shooter games. It's a plastic attachment with a trigger button. The Wii remote slides into the top portion while the nunchuk clips onto the back section nearest to the player.
On the rumour front: After all those lawsuits about Sony's rumble controllers, the rumble may be back. A rumble-enabled controller is rumoured to be part of the just-announced new 80GB PlayStation 3 next month.
That would be good news.
