Fighting talk: A new site has turned up the heat in the war between music file sharers and the music industry. Banned Music boldly declares that when "record labels send legal threats to musicians, record stores, or sites, we will post the music here for download and publicise the censorship attempt".

XNA means easier: Microsoft's big announcement last week was of XNA - its "new ecosystem of interchangeable, interoperable software tools and technologies". In plain English, that means it will be easier for the same game to be made for PC and Xbox.

Uncultured technology: The owner of a site about technology and culture was shocked to find someone had posted a photo of his wife and, using Photoshop, had turned it into a porn shot. He blows a fuse to his readers online.
