The famous Baghdad blogger who wrote accounts in his online journal during the US invasion has been snapped up by the Guardian as a regular correspondent. A new Baghdad blogger has appeared and while his English isn't great, his observations are fascinating.

The latest winners of the web's version of the Oscars, the Webby awards, have been announced. Sites from Nasa and auction site eBay won several of the key awards. The worrying sign for those of us in the newspaper business was that a computer-generated news site Google News beat human editors for the best news site.

Victoria University students can pay their course fees at the university's website. The university says this is a logical extension of students enrolling online.
