Quizpeople: A European entertainment portal opens its doors in our part of the world.
Available in 17 languages, it claims to have become one of the world's most popular sites in less than a year, averaging more than 5 million unique visitors from 174 countries a month.
Games, quizzes, glamour prizes - this year: win an island, but they won't say where.
Or your own private plane. Some of its games are also playable via wireless applications, WAP and SMS.
nzgirl: Pitched straight at the hearts of early teenage girls with features like Getting It On (makeup, grooming), the birds and bees and your body, and Hairy Stuff with Nigel, their online hairdresser.
The privacy policy seems a bit hairy, too - "We may use any personal information you send, such as name, age, location and personal preferences, for content or for marketing and promotional purposes, and we may share your personal information with others."
Plus lots about 'lurve' [sic] - I wonder if its target market will pick up on this ironic subtext and suspect it's being patronised?
KP Typing Tutor: For the many readers who have emailed for an online typing course, here's a new one to try - Andy Huang's freeware is one of the most comprehensive I've seen and even offers several alternative keyboards, including Dvorak.
"Have fun while you upskill" seems to be the message at this useful site.
