WinGlobe: A 2Mb download that puts the world at your fingertips. WinGlobe puts a colourful and realistic model of the Earth on your desktop. It can be set to rotate just like the real thing, or show where it is night or day. The program is available free to schools and provides basic information on each country such as population and principal cities. WinGlobe also tells you the time in each location, which makes it useful for scheduling overseas phone calls.
