Testing grey matter
TV One tries out "interactive TV" on Monday night when you can test your IQ by answering the questions online from 7.30pm (the same time as the Test the Nation show screens). There are 72 questions to test you.
To put in some training over the weekend, try some IQ tests, but note that these do not claim to be scientific. There are more at IQ Personality Tests.
The site Fun Trivia claims to be the largest trivia site, with more than 400,000 questions. If you need to brush up on New Zealand history, head to NZhistory.net and Aotearoa quizzes.
Blogs are so yesterday
Blogs are certainly flourishing but as with everything on the net, the latest fad is soon replaced by something else.
If you really want to be up with the play, you'll be talking not about your blog but your fotoblog.
Fotoblogs obviously have more images than words. Check out fotolog and join the trend.
Roswell declassified
The US Government has declassified 11 boxes of material relating to the 1947 incident at Roswell Army Airfield that has been the source of much UFO speculation.
Reporters at Popular Mechanics have been wading through the boxes but have found more confusion than answers.
Long-term bets
Here's a prediction: by 2025 at least half of all Americans will have some form of technology embedded in their bodies for the purpose of tracking and identification.
At Long Bets you can also put your reputation on the line by making and justifying a long-term prediction.
The site's aim is not to merely gamble but to "improve long-term thinking".
