Apple to the rescue
Apple achieved this week what the music industry failed to do: create an online music download service that we might actually want to use! You are able to download just a single song (not a whole package of songs), you pay per song, not have a monthly subscription fee, and you can (heaven forbid!) burn the song on to a blank recordable CD a number of times. Hopefully available to New Zealanders soon.

Big Brother totally uncut
Voyeuristic Australian TV series Big Brother started another series on TV2 this week. At its official site, you can see what even the late-night "uncut" episodes can't show. For around $40 for the three-month season, action in the two Big Brother houses will be live and uncensored online, as well as uncut video archive of naughty stuff. To prove all this reality TV isn't a fad, news this week that the first US 24-hour reality TV channel will launch in January. Another fishbowl ... A Norwegian artist is staging a new version of Big Brother online with birds in a tree hut.
