Help, it's bluejacking: The next high-tech evil is called bluejacking and involves people sending an anonymous - and usually offensive - mobile phone text message to someone who happens to be standing nearby.
This is done using wireless technology, especially Bluetooth, hence the name of the growing phenomenon.
Potter springs a leak: The first trailer for Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban somehow leaked on to the net last week and was quickly grabbed by fan sites. The 90-second trailer includes Michael Gambon as Dumbledore.

Dr Who hits the web: The BBC has begun webcasting the first of six episodes of a new animated Doctor Who adventure, Scream of the Shalka.
New episodes are out every Friday at the BBC Dr Who website.
Yet to pack a wallop: Microsoft has been quietly working on a new tool called Wallop that incorporates blogging and "social-networking capabilities", all based on Microsoft's Instant Messenger functionality. Microsoft calls it a place "where you can share photos, blog, and interact with your friends" but at the moment it's exclusively for select triallists.
