Urge/Whakamanawa: A site dealing with the trials and tribulations of teenage life. Provides help and advice for teens on "positive ways" to "feed their urge" - drinking, drugs, sexuality, whatever. Sponsored in part by government and community organisations and designed to complement other youth services such as Youthline(0800 376633), it claims 40,000 users after nine months. Good Q&A under "Stuff" - eg: "What are my rights at 16? At 16 your parents are no longer legally responsible for supporting you and you may be eligible for certain kinds of benefit assistance ... You can also: have a gun or student pilot licence; get married (with parental consent); consent to sex; leave school, home or decide where to live; buy an Instant Kiwi."
All Free: Just about everything linked from this site is at a price you can afford - free. Some are a bit of a have because they're things you get free on the internet anyway. They're also using the free thing to entice you - usually to buy something. But there are some here that are worth checking out like Aunt Betty's puddings, discount vouchers from Jeans West, internet identities and even free Quit Smoking packs.
