The new black-cased Back-UPS ES350 and ES500 uninterruptible power supplies provide both battery backup and surge protection for connected computers, notebooks and peripherals.
Both of APC's Back-UPS ES models offer a range of standard features typically found on more expensive UPSs designed for large office environments. These include file saving, auto-shutdown software as well as telephone/fax/modem and digital subscriber line (ADSL) protection to stop power surges from damaging connected equipment. The ES350 model provides protection for power loads up to 350VA, and the ES500 model for loads up to 500VA.
Both models are compact and include five power outlets. Three of the outlets provide battery backup, while all five give protection against damaging power surges or spikes.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectivity is a standard feature, while the power management software supports the Mac OS, as well as all versions of Windows.
Back-UPS ES power supplies are simple to use and easy to maintain. They run automatic self-diagnostics to ensure peak performance, then alert the user if there is a problem. After a power event has occurred, the overload reset is activated by simply pushing a button.
