Vodafone's migration to a new billing system has not gone quite as planned, leaving some customers with call bars.
It seems that the company's old system isn't quite ready to let go, and this has resulted in bill payments disappearing into a holding account rather than being applied correctly to customers account numbers.
"We've had a bit of an issue," Vodafone external communications manager Paul Brislen told nzherald.co.nz.
"We're moving to a new billing system and the old one is throwing a bit of a wobbly.
"It is not processing payments correctly."
Vodafone customers who have noticed bill payments not being applied, or in the worst case have had their service barred, can dial 777.
The company's website says "fixing this is our hightest priority".
