Vodafone says continuing dramas with its email service will be resolved soon.
Complaints over the email problems in recent weeks have cited issues including customers being unable to send or receive email or even log in to the Vodafone webmail service.
Spokesman Paul Brislen told nzherald.co.nz that the mail system will be upgraded in the coming weeks.
"We have a capacity issue on the email server," he said, "the whole system is being upgraded in the next couple of weeks to a storage area network that should see an end to the kinds of problems we've been having."
He says yesterday's fire alert in the Sky Tower didn't help things - many Vodafone customers are reporting multiple copies of emails flooding their inboxes this morning.
"Yesterday's fire disruption seems to have upset some other component in the email system and a team's working on it now to find out why multiple copies are being sent."
