PARIS - Vivendi will launch a new Internet provider of music, ring-tones, games and videos called Zaoza in January, the French telecoms and media group said in a statement.
It said the new service, which would also offer exclusive digital media content, would first be launched in Francem, then in Germany and the United Kingdom.
"Zaoza is designed for all users of PCs and mobile devices, still too often disappointed by the purchase and backup complexity of digital entertainment products, as well as their price and quality," the mobile and entertainment unit of Vivendi said in a statement.
