TelstraClear says it will be able to boost its network speeds by a massive 150 percent.
Customers on its Wellington, Kapiti and Christchurch cable networks will see a vast increase in broadband performance in the coming months.
The company has installed Motorola's Advanced Provisioning System (MAPS), at a cost of $1.2 million, and says it is capable of delivering some of the best broadband performance in New Zealand.
"This enhancement gives us speeds up to 150% faster on our network., says chief operating officer Luigi Sorbello
"With the back end capability now complete, the next step is to deliver new services and broadband speeds unheard of in New Zealand.

The company, which has 70,000 residential customers, will be able to give customers 25Mbps downstream by the end of this year a huge increase from the 10Mbps that it is currently capable of.
The platform upgrade allows for future addition of IP Virtual Private Networks, VoIP and video on demand services.
