The consumer watchdog has received a second application from Telecom for a decision on prices for interconnection with TelstraClear's network.
The Commerce Commission has to seek comment from the other party involved -- TelstraClear -- within the next 10 days before deciding whether to investigate. Telecom made the application to the commission yesterday.
Telecom first applied to the commission late last week as negotiations hit a new low between the warring telcos about interconnection and pricing.
TelstraClear is seeking more links from Telecom, while Telecom said it has yet to resolve longstanding payment problems with TelstraClear.
TelstraClear has already applied for an interim court injunction under the Commerce Act to compel Telecom to activate additional telephony links that TelstraClear said it had been waiting for since August.
That followed its own application last week to the Commerce Commission, seeking a ruling on its dispute with Telecom.
