Ericsson is giving away $30,000 worth of prizes to three registered non-profit or charitable organisations to help them promote their causes on the internet.
The local winners of the Ericsson Internet Community Awards (Erica) will each receive $10,000 worth of web development expertise from Ericsson Synergy to boost their presence on the net. The award aims to identify significant new net projects planned by New Zealand charities. Organisations which are already on-line and those without an internet presence as yet are both eligible.
The three New Zealand winners will be eligible for the global Erica awards, at which five winners each receive $US100,000 ($238,000) worth of web development services and technology aid.
Global winners in the past have included the Fiji School of Medicine.
