Sun Microsystems loss

Stung by both the sluggish economy and sales slowdown since the terrorist attacks, Sun Microsystems lost $US180 million as sales slid 43 per cent for the three months ended September 30.

Sun lost 6 cents per share, compared with a profit of $US456 million, or 14 cents a share, in the same period last year.
