Sun, Hitachi to collaborate

A multibillion-dollar global agreement between Sun Microsystems and Hitachi subsidiary Hitachi Data Systems will allow the companies to cross-licence and distribute each other's high-end storage software.

Both companies will also collaborate on software development and global support centres.
