Microsoft New Zealand is to donate $2 million towards information technology projects in schools over the next five years.
Microsoft and the Education Ministry have been developing the Partners in Learning plan over the past year, a statement from the multi-national software giant said today.
"The Partners in Learning initiative is not a one time give-away of technology, it's a long-term commitment from Microsoft to invest in New Zealand's future," Microsoft NZ managing director Ross Peat said.
