This latest version of Electronic Arts' mega-successful fully licensed Fifa series sold 1.7 million copies at Euro retail in its first week. Aside from playing as almost every footy pro in the business, you can now make yourself - upload a photo to EA's service and create a GameFace - your mug on a player.
The biggest single improvement is to gameplay itself with re-thought 360-degree player control. When a game has been around for as long as the Fifa franchise, things start to get a bit complicated - the menu system is so complex it's groaning under its own weight.
Verdict: Fifa has always fought tooth and nail against rival series Pro Evolution Soccer. While the Fifa faithful laud the fully licensed line-up of clubs, players and competitions Pro Evo fans have raved about quality of play control - something EA has definitely closed the gap with here.
