KEY POINTS:
Sony's PSP has a stylee new accessory - a cute 1.3 megapixel camera called a Go!Cam which you just plug into the top of your PlayStation portable.
It's easy to use and a lot of fun. It's called a Go! Cam everywhere except Japan, where it's got the interesting Chotto Shot moniker.
It can record up to two and a half hours of video and apparently can store 40,000 photos on a 4GB memory stick - depending on quality and size.
It has a built in microphone, you can set the lens direction to three positions through 180 degrees meaning you can see pictures in PSP widescreen.
You can also take endless photos or videos of yourself or the scene in front of you whilst everyone getting caught on camerathinks you're just really into your game!
Snapping photos is easy enough - you just use the top L and R buttons.
You can download editing software and make some simple adjustments.
If you have a top of the line mobile with a reasonably impressive pxt 1-2 megapixel camera this may not be for you. Like many mobiles, picture quality is okay so long as you don't zoom in too close.
But this is an impressive alternative with all the advantages of being able to store the stuff on your PSP and show people (it's unlikely you'll have any friends left if you bore them senseless with a 40,000 shot slideshow.
Or you can upload it to the Internet, although it doesn't have a YouTube all-in-one edit and upload option, which may have helped boost sales.
A firmware update may be needed to make use of all the Go! Cam's features.
