KEY POINTS:
Hyped-up Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has already been copied and uploaded on file-sharing sites.
The latest book in JK Rowlings' mega-selling series has appeared in the form of photographed pages on BitTorrent, according to blog TechCrunch.
Snippets of the book have been appearing across the web, but have mostly been shut down by publisher Scholastic.
The torrent versions are photographed pages with less-than-perfect reading quality, according to TechCrunch.
"Whilst the validity of the hype surrounding Harry Potter may be subject to debate," read the blog, "what the leaking of the book does demonstrate is that the days of the mainstream media and publishers strictly controlling the dissemination of information has well and truly past; simply where there is a fan with a will, there is a way."
Spoiler websites have also been making calls on plot points, the most widely discussed being the rumoured death of one of a key character.
The real book is due to go on sale this Saturday.
