A Sydney man has faces five years in jail after uploading a pirated copy of The Simpsons Movie on the internet.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the 21-year-old man filmed the movie on his mobile phone on July 26, the day the movie was released in Australia, and uploaded it within hours.
The illegal footage was taken down two hours later, but had already been downloaded thousands of times.
It then spread to BitTorrent sites and Gnutella networks, and was downloaded by 110,000 people within three days.
