Wilson and Horton announces:
Wilson and Horton Interactive (publisher of the Herald Online) is joining forces with travel website travel.co.nz.
The Herald Online recently launched its own travel website containing feature stories, destination information, user forums, a cruise section and hot deals available online.
Under the agreement between the two companies, editorial content from Herald Online Travel will be included in the travel.co.nz newsletter, which goes out to thousands of households weekly.
The product manager for Herald Online Travel, Guy Orridge, says the alliance opens up a number of exciting opportunities for both companies.
"We assessed a number of potential travel partners and decided on working with travel.co.nz," Mr Orridge said.
"The joint initiative presents us with a global opportunity that opens up possibilities for other markets, where our international sister companies also have a presence."
Mr Orridge said the joint initiative would hit the market in early September.
The Managing Director of travel.co.nz, Greg Southcombe, said he was very excited to be working with Wilson and Horton Interactive, and said travellers would be delighted with the results of the joint initiative.
"The potential of this partnership between a media company and a leading online travel business is limitless and we've got some very exciting product ideas up our sleeves," he said.
