nzherald.co.nz moves into second place

nzherald.co.nz has overtaken the ASB Bank portal to become the second-busiest website in New Zealand, according to latest figures.

Last week, nzherald.co.nz ranked third behind XtraMSN and the ASB Bank site.

But results this week from web traffic monitor Hitwise, place the Herald website second overall.

XtraMSN still holds its number one spot attracting 19.38 per cent of all local traffic.

The figures show nzherald.co.nz is ahead of its main specialist news competitors, TVNZ news website nzoom.com, which ranked 7th overall and the INL newspaper site stuff.co.nz which ranked 8th.

Hitwise monitors New Zealand internet traffic direct from ISP servers.
