A notebook insurance scheme available through computer resellers provides a full-replacement international policy for about 7 per cent of the price of the device.
The Notebook Insurance Plan (NIP) is underwritten by Lumley and has been developed locally by Tech Pacific and finance firm CPF Insurance Brokers. The excess is $100 a notebook.
