KEY POINTS:
Dell NZ can't say when the Ubuntu-packing PCs will make it to New Zealand - or if they will at all.
Machines running the Linux operating system have been sold to United States users since May, and Dell last week announced moves to offer sales of Ubuntu-loaded computers to customers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and even China.
But potential Dell customers here wanting to migrate their computing from Windows to the powerful open source Linux OS will have to wait.
"We've not yet made a decision or set a date," Dell corporate communications manager Paul McKeon told nzherald.co.nz.
