Motorola's push to dig out of a deep slump has claimed 4000 more jobs, while also providing investors with new hope that its long-troubled cellphone business may be recovering.
The company's stock leaped 15 per cent to a five-month high, despite its warning of a third straight money-losing quarter on top of the $US232 million loss it reported last week.
