Hairdressers aren't renown for their extensive use of technology. So when French hair care product specialist Kerastase wanted to teach busy salon staff about which products to use in certain circumstances it turned to a mobile phone company for the answer.
Now the salon staff are trained using text messages as part of an initiative that Vodafone hopes will be used by other industries wanting to improve staff retention through increased training without having to pay for time off work or PCs that might sit idle the rest of the time.
