Christchurch software developer Jade has formed a partnership with Indian solutions company Capital Technologies.
Jade sales and marketing general manager Owen Scott said Capital Technologies wanted to sell and support Jade applications, rather than just use its technology to develop applications.
"We now have a substantial portfolio of Jade applications and frameworks, such as web stores, e-commerce systems, software to manage and host websites and customer relationship management systems. These guys have ... said we want training in Jade so we can sell your applications," Mr Scott said.
Customers of Capital Technologies, which is backed by Indian plastics giant Saptagari, include Cisco, Banana Republic and The Gap. Executive director Krishna Tammireddy said the company was interested in Jade solutions for banking, port management and healthcare.
Mr Scott said Jade was benefiting from a trend in Asia to look to New Zealand and Australia for software, because of price, accessibility and culture.
