Owners of the latest iPads can relax - Apple Inc says there are no compatibility issues in New Zealand.
Apple is emailing all Australian buyers of its new iPad offering them a refund after it emerged the third-generation iPad cannot connect to a 4G mobile data network in Australia due to technical incompatibility.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission took legal action to ensure Apple made consumers aware of the issue, and the company had Apple agreed to post warnings the iPad "is not compatible with current Australian 4G LTE networks and WiMAX networks".
But Apple Australia-New Zealand Mac expert Adam Martinez told APNZ there were no compatibility issues in New Zealand.
The latest iPads were available for pre-order from March 23 and no issues had arisen, he said.
