Carol complains that Windows Explorer now only shows large icons instead of file names, sizes, etc as it used to.
A lot of people find Windows Explorer (as opposed to Internet Explorer) a useful way of
examining the contents of their PCs, but you have probably changed the view to large icons by mistake. It's easy to change the settings back again - start Explorer by right clicking on the start menu and clicking on explore. Now right click on the right-hand pane, select View then click on as web page, or you might prefer the details or list views.

Kevin's internet browser has been taken over by the GoHip enhancement, which insists his every internet session must begin at www.gohip.com. "I've tried to reset my browser's preferred home page several times but this only works for a while. How I can rid my computer of this home page?" pleads Kevin.
We suspect GoHip has installed a little program that sets itself as your starting page every time your computer is switched on or is reset. If you go to www.gohip.com/remove_browser_enhancement.html you'll find instructions on removing GoHip, which involves downloading and running a program called remove.exe.

E-mail problems continued: Thanks to readers Alan and Grant who suggested that Dorothy's mysterious e-mail addresses that popped up in her address book could be explained by a setting in Outlook Express.
Go to tools/options/send and remove the tick from "automatically add people I reply to, to my address book." Caps Lock continued: We are also grateful to Robin and Ann who suggested another way Ron could avoid hitting the Caps Lock key by accident, by making use of a Windows Accessibility Options feature that sounds an alert whenever this key is pressed.
To access this feature, click on start/settings/control panel/accessibility options. Now click on the keyboard tab and tick the appropriate box in the toggle keys section.
