Forward, Send and Receive used to sit boldly in a toolbar at the top of "G's" Outlook Express e-mail software. Now it refuses to return.
The settings are hiding in View/Layout. Select each bar or list you want by placing a tick beside it ("Toolbar" is the one you are after) then press "Apply."

Jared has a similar problem, but because he uses Outlook 2000, it hides in a different place.
Got to View/Toolbars/Standard, Jared. That will put the standard toolbar with the send-and-receive button in the top panel again.

Gloria and Ralph have an image-size problem. They have tried unsuccessfully to downsize photos in 'MS Paint' and wonder if "Imaging" will do any better.
Yes, it will. Open the photo in Imaging. Click once on the photo to select it. Then select Page/Properties/Size. You can either change the Custom settings or select from preset sizes.

When sending an e-mail to a group, Graeme wants to know how to suppress the names of recipients from all others. He cannot find it anywhere in Outlook Express Help but notices that when he receives a "group" e-mail from an outside source it says "recipient list suppressed" in the "to" box. What do they know that he doesn't?
They simply use the "BCC" button, Graeme. That address field will hide the other addresses, whereas the "To" or "CC" fields will show all the addresses you're sending to - something that's a big netiquette no, no because it breaches privacy and provides more addresses for those dreaded spammers.

Pesky popup windows are driving Brian mad.
Me too, Brian. I think we have all noticed the recent increase of these annoying "popups", as more web designers code these unwanted ads into their pages. Try a program called "PopUp Killer." It identifies possible pop-ups and closes them before you see them. It even controls the number of browser windows that can be opened at the same time, allowing you to avoid "cascading "pop-ups when you leave a website. The latest version has a feature that automatically closes dialog boxes that require a manual click to close. It even has a dinky sound feature for you to add your favourite noise as each unwanted window gets nuked.
