Welcome to InBox, where we attempt to answer your internet questions.
"Invalid system disk" frustrates Neville when booting from his Norton AntiVirus rescue disks.
Insert the rescue boot diskette into the floppy drive, Neville. Click Start and choose Run. When the Run dialog box appears, type: SYS A: and click OK. A Dos Window will appear while the system areas of the floppy are updated. When this is complete, close the Dos box. Your floppy disks should boot (start the computer) now.
"Spinner has caused an error in SPINNER. EXE. Spinner will now close" is the message which annoys Russell when he runs a program called Spinner 4.
Version 4 of Spinner seems to hate Real Player, Russell. Download and install SpinAmp or WinAmp and the problem should be solved.
"WinZip Self-Extractor header corrupt" pops up as Gerrand's message when running certain files from the internet. Downloading the program again doesn't work.
You probably have a virus that is related to the 1998 CIH virus which targets WinZip self-extractor files, Gerrand. See this WinZip page for detailed info. Norton and McAfee anti-virus software are aware of this virus and should find it.
Mike's Internet Explorer 5 has been getting internet page errors such as "ERROR (beside a red X in a circle), a runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug?"
Go to Start/Windows Update, which will take you to the Microsoft Update site. Download Internet Explorer 6 to fix those script errors, Mike.
More on Maifele's printer and margins problem: Albert can't make last week's margin printing solution work in his Outlook Express. There is no Page Setup entry under File.
That's because you need to use Internet Explorer, Albert. Internet Explorer and Outlook Express share those settings, but only Internet Explorer allows you to change them.
