Welcome to InBox, where we attempt to answer your internet questions.
Q. Internet Explorer seems to bounce Michael into unwanted sites like a flea in a dog pound! Starting with a hijacking that substitutes every history address with "ehttp.cc" (apparently porn related), with another hijack to a dodgy search page called handbook.com; he's riddled with these monsters.
A. Spybot S&D should get rid of most of these afflictions, Michael, but that "ehttp" one needs to be dealt with first, with a registry fix. Once that's run, head for: http://beam.to/spybotsd to download & install Spybot, let it search for updates; then Spybot can find and remove the remaining gremlins.

Q. Alan writes: Huge text results in a multipage printout of my ASB balance. Yet my old computer only needed one. The other text on the page looks the same.
A. Open IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced, Alan; confirm there are no ticks in "Accessibility" (that's in the very first section and only has two check boxes).

Q. Darren asks: When several Internet Explorer windows are open they sometimes use one taskbar entry. How can I stop this?
A. To stop "grouping": Right click the taskbar, click properties and un-tick the option "Group Similar taskbar buttons".

Q. Donna asks: Can I run Windows XP on my Pentium II 233 and 64 MB of Ram? The XP box says this is minimum specifications.
A. While Microsoft suggests minimum specifications to run XP, Donna, technically, at that level you will not be able to use it for much. Ideally, start with a Pentium III 500 or better with 256mb or more of ram for a reasonable level of performance.
