Kerry's problem is a tiny window when starting up a new e-mail message. It is annoying having to repeatedly click on maximise before typing an e-mail.
Place the mouse pointer on the corner of the offending box, Kerry. A diagonal arrow will appear. Then click, hold and drag to make the window bigger. Next time you start up, your window will be that size. What has happened is a previous user has made the window small and your PC has held that size setting. For some reason, simply maximising does not change the default window size.
Jack is sick of unwanted chat requests from a persistent user on ICQ. Every time Jacks logs in, another request pops up.
Ignore that irritating person, Jack. There is a setting within ICQ specifically for people like this. Start ICQ, hit the ICQ button in the bottom left corner and select Security and Privacy, then Add to ignore list. Search for the user's number, then save. Any further contact from the unwanted admirer/stalker will now be unknown to you.
Robert has killed the dialogue box, which came up when he had finished with e-mail or the internet and asked him if he wanted to disconnect. He wants his PC to automatically disconnect.
To enable the auto disconnect, start IE/Tools/Internet Options/Connections/Settings/Advanced. Then tick "disconnect when connection may no longer be needed", then OK.
Help wanted. Can anyone help Eric with his Mac and MS Outlook Express problem. He cannot stop junk mail dialling the internet when he is trying to read e-mail offline? We're stumped.
