Oliver and Pam can't find the BCC (blind carbon copy) field in the new Outlook Express 6. It's frustrating because they use it to conceal multiple recipients when sending e-mail to groups. The BCC option in Address Book doesn't suit their needs.
Simply start Outlook Express 6, then select New/Mail/View/All Headers. Now you'll have the BCC field back as it was in the previous version of Outlook Express.
Tom also has a problem with the BCC field. He must use BCC for privacy reasons, but he needs a receipt of addresses (using BCC also hides them in his sent e-mail).
Open one of the sent emails, Tom, then click File/Properties/Details, which will show all BCC addresses listed. If you need to copy that list, just highlight, copy and paste the required text into a suitable file.
Keith's fax entry in "printers" disappeared when a virus was removed. He has reinstalled his printer, but still has no fax option.
Your fax is related to your modem, not your printer. To reinstall your fax software, go to Control Panel/Add Remove/Windows Setup. Remove the Fax tick, click Apply, then replace the tick and click Apply. Or, if you use your modem's fax software, dig up your modem setup disks and reinstall the communications program.
Inbox archives online: Stan (and others) ask, "How can we find back issues of inbox?" They also ask, "Are they stored on the net?"
Yes, everyone, they are available by using the Herald search engine. Type Inbox in the search field, select the Technology section, on the next line select All, then click on GO. All back issues will pop up in the list.
Annabelle wonders why www.mapzone.co.nz (a website in last week's Hotlinks) acts more like a frozen link.
Blame us, Annabelle. The site was brought to its knees by Herald readers trying to visit. A frazzled Mapzone team is working on a bigger bandwidth solution.
