KEY POINTS:
IBM has recognised New Zealand-owned IT company Integral Technology at its annual Business Partner Awards.
Integral won the category for Infrastructure Innovation and the prestigious supreme awards at the event.
The success is a result of a project delivered to online email marketing company Jericho.
Increased demand for Jericho's SmartMail software meant the company's previous infrastructure provider's off-the-shelf solution was not coping with growth.
Integral stepped in with its Utility Computing solution, which offered boundless scalability, improved delivery and the reliability to cope with the growth.
IBM recognised the Utility Computing package as 'unique and innovative'. It has since been productised and taken up by several other Integral customers.
