KEY POINTS:
Stephen Hawking, the wheelchair-bound theoretical physicist and author of A Brief History of Time, will experience weightlessness for the first time when he takes a zero-gravity ride on a modified 727 this month.
Hawking will take off from the Kennedy Space Station in Florida for a 90-minute flight that will simulate being in space, a place Hawking has been fascinated with his entire life.
