KEY POINTS:
At last, we can all go out and buy a Mac PC!
The reason so many of us hesitate at this idea is because we can't play our favourite games.
Last year I bought a Mac Mini and installed Boot Camp - a way to partition your drive so you can also have Windows as well as the Mac OS installed.
Boot camp worked well after some updates but the mini wasn't powerful enough to play my new memory-hungry PC games and few were ported to the OS X.
You hear time and again people would love to buy a Mac but their favourite game is blah, blah, blah.
Now big franchise games maker Electronic Arts (EA) has floored us with news it'll release games for the Mac in July - Mac versions of Command & Conquer 3, Battlefiled 2142, Need For Speed: Carbon and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Madden NFL 2008 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 will follow in August. Also, they will be released for Mac the same time they are released for Windows. That's almost unheard of.
And one of our all time favourite publishers id (think Doom and Quake) say their new game engine called Tech 5, will run on Macs, (in addition to the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360) and be licensed to third-party software makers.
Am I the only one off to Apple's site?
