What are they? Only the best wireless headphones you'll ever use. With Apple nabbing headlines with their dinky Air Buds, Jaybird's range of wireless sets are a timely reminder that there are alternative options for portable headphones that sit around the same price mark and have far better sound quality. They're not as easy to lose either.
What do they do? Jaybird's Freedom Wireless headphones are built for exercise. All of their promotional material shows cyclists, joggers and volleyball stars using these during high intensity activity. So that's what I used them for. The inner-ear fittings are snug, and with options for both the wings and the inner-ear fittings, they'll fit any ear. I used them walking, running and cycling, and they never fell out of my ear, and I never lost connectivity.
How do they work? You'll need to carry a music player with you, but Bluetooth connection was always a breeze with these. Just push a button on the mini controller attached to the wires and you're connected. There's also a volume controller on the headset, but you can use your phone to control this too. They drape nicely around your neck when you have to take them out too. As for the sound? Simply wonderful.
