Intel will today announce 12 new, faster and more power-efficient microprocessors for laptop computers as the world's largest chipmaker seeks to expand into lighter and lighter notebooks.
Chip speeds range from 700MHz, consuming as little as half a watt of electricity, to ones running at 1.2GHz.
In all, six new Pentium III-M chips and six lower-cost Celeron mobile chips are being announced.
