After creating a buzz by announcing that Peter Griffin and his dysfunctional family were to do a Windows 7 episode to coincide with its launch, Microsoft broke the hearts of many a Griffophile by canning its sponsorship of the show.
It deemed the popular cartoon - which screens in New Zealand on C4 - was to raunchy for Microsoft's family friendly branding.
Looks like Microsoft may have realised that many of their potential customers are adults with a sense of humour, as the latest Family Guy episode that aired in the US contained some pretty solid plugs for Windows 7 and was followed by a shiny Microsoft Windows 7 commercial.
